Wright Hoover Wedding

This past Saturday I had the great fortune of shooting a beautiful wedding. I brought along my second shooter, and best friend, Jennifer (we shoot all weddings together). We had an amazing time and it was a real joy to be involved in such a fun and meaningful day for Kristen and Dennis.

The day started at Second Presbyterian Church in Little Rock and eventually moved to a gorgeous reception at Trapnall Hall, downtown. The Arkansas Democrat Gazette showed up (pick up next Sunday's edition if you want to check out all the wedding goodness) and it was just a real good time. So, without too much pomp and circumstance...let's get to a preview of some shots I thought were fun. Enjoy! Congrats K+D!

Hillyer Family 2011

Last Saturday I had the chance to catch up with my old friends, the Hillyers! I was in Northwest Arkansas anyways (I was there attending the Arkansas Scholastic Press Association's Annual Convention with my yearbook staff) and so I thought, why not double up and take some up to date pictures of them and their beautiful boy, Jaxson! There isn't much I can say that isn't obvious in these pictures. These parents love their baby boy and they are the cutest family ever. So, without too much waiting...enjoy!

Here is some baby love...

Katie & Blake

Today I got to do one of my favorite things when it comes to photography. I got to photograph some of my dearest friends. Blake and Katie have been hanging around our little group for quite a while. And so when they got engaged during the holiday season of 2010 (he actually popped the question on Katie's birthday, which of course, was the ultimate birthday present!) and I was over-joyed at the possibility of getting to do their engagement shots. We had to wait on the weather..but it was really worth it.

We went to a few places I have been dying to photograph: the covered bridge at Burns Park and then we hopped over to the downtown Argenta area of North Little Rock. And everything went perfectly.

I can't tell you how perfect these two are for each other. They are a hoot to hang out with and Blake makes the meanest grilled hotdog I have ever had. It was a true honor to get to capture this really exciting time in their lives and I can't wait for round two...when we do our Hog themed shoot. Wooo Pig Sooie.

And if you haven't noticed...because they are my friends I just couldn't pick a few...I went all out!

And only because I was playing around with my panoramic settings...

Little Katie Rose

I started my Spring Break by meeting up with the cutest little girl on the planet! We went out to Wye Mountain for the daffodil festival. If you have never been, you simply must go. It is pretty impressive how many flowers are out there. And it must be a photographer's dream, because we were not the only people who decided to spend Saturday morning looking at the flowers. But I promise Katie was the cutest kid there.

This little princess was a real trooper. It was chilly and there was a lot for her to take in all at once, and she let me photograph her for a good while (imagine...I took over 500 photos before she got bored) and she was such a good sport. She was so sweet and willing to mimic everything I did. So, we walked around the thousands of flowers and picked a few too. It was a great start to any day.

I picked my favorites, but this little camera-ham was so easy to photograph that there were plenty to choose from with Miss Katie. I am really looking forward to my chance to photograph their whole family this summer...because if they are anything like little Katie it's gonna be a super fun time!

Ezra's First Birthday!

I've heard of dueling banjos before...but never dueling birthdays! Well, when I showed up to photograph Ezra's first birthday I got a two-fer. Older brother Cooper was also getting to celebrate his birthday as well.

What can I say? Momma C is one of my dearest friends, and by far my best client (not to mention hair and makeup diva extrodinaire). And I have been lucky enough to photograph Ezra and their whole family several times over the past year. So, it was an absolute joy for me to help celebrate and eat cake!

I've included some of my favorite shots of the birthday boy and those closest to him. Enjoy.
